Black pools of water stand like dark mirrors in and around the muddy roadway. Giant trees loom on both sides of the road, their branches clawing at the mist.

Old Slavich Road is the main travel and trade route that extends from the eastern end of Barovia to the Raven River in the west, by the town of Krezk. It is the safest passage of travel as any other method would place adventurers within the much feared Svalich Woods, which many believe to be cursed with a deadly mist.
