Father Lucian oversees the church of St. Andral in Vallaki and does his best to raise spirits. Assisting him is an orphan and altar boy named Yeska. Milivoj is his grounds kepper and gravedigger.

He offers his nightly congregation his prayers and the promise of St. Andral’s protection.
